SINGLE-CELL GENE REGULATORY NETWORKS

Biomedical research is undergoing a revolution thanks to new single-cell technologies. Single-cell approaches allow studying the entire (epi)genome and transcriptome of individual cells, from complex tissues like the brain, or from a tumor during treatment. However, the interpretation of these big data is a challenge. In our Laboratory for Computational Biology we have developed new bioinformatics methods to study cell fate decisions through reverse engineering gene regulatory networks from single-cell data.
